State Council Overview
The SCNA has voted to discontinue state councils. The reasons being that, they stopped being efficient and most disappeared completely. The only State Council in existance is the Pelican State Council (formerly the Cajun Council) as they were the first and they continue to operate as a council should, with its own board, by laws and elections.
The SCNA District Chair oversees state councils. The purpose of a state council is to act as a state representative, but have their own board of directors, elected by the membership of their council. All members of a council, must be members of the SCNA. The state council may charge their own membership fee if they wish. The state council will draft their own CBL. Any changes to the CBL must be voted on by their membership. Officers must be voted on by membership at an interval set by the council.
